Disney Scrapbooking
8 August 2006One popular and obvious way of integrating a Disney theme into scrapbooks is by making albums of Disney vacations. People take tons of photos when they go. Most of the pictures developed from the films however are just stored in boxes and left to deteriorate, squandering very memorable moments. These cherished pictures can be made much more interesting by making a Disney themed scrapbook
Making Disney themed scrapbooks is easy. Just like any scrapbooking project, you need to make backgrounds first, lay out pictures, add interesting accents, and write text. To design backgrounds, you may use stationeries with Disney designs. You can find these in Disney stores and craft stores. For accents you can use cutouts from Disneyland maps and brochures.
For those in a hurry to make their Disney scrapbooks, there are scrapbook making kits with Disney themes widely available in craft stores, book stores, and even online. Some websites are even dedicated to Disney scrapbooking itself.
Disney has lent their trademark to an entire line of accessories, including papers, stickers, accessories – all of which can be found online, if not locally in arts and crafts stores. Many of the official Disney kits can be extremely expensive, and quite honestly, don’t need to be; depending on your project, it might be more cost effective to purchase the items individually. It is also possible to create successful Disney scrapbooking pages without buying into Disney corporate advertising.
Everyone knows that if you went to Disneyland or Disney World, your scrapbook will include Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and all their little cartoon friends. But maybe you should try using other characters like Jiminy Cricket, Pinocchio, or other Disney pals.
Disney has always been a fun part of childhood. With Disney scrapbooking, one can keep those fun memories with Disney forever.
