Scrapbooking Ideas for Baby Girl
The word "sisters" and the girl's names are die cuts from a Sizzix machine. I used it when I was at the overnight crop at Camp Crop Alot, so unfortunately I don't remember the name of the font. I love that machine. A friend actually bought the die cutter for me recently- Now I just need to acquire the dies. I really don't need any particular shapes, I'm mainly interested in getting different alphabets and some geometric shapes, such as circles and squares.
Back to the layout- I used a square cutter from Creative Memories to cut out square shapes and create the frames I needed to perfectly fit my letters. I saved those squares for a later layout. CM has really great cutting systems.
Although hard to tell online, the letters are raised from the foam, double sided sticky "Pop-Its". I just cut small pieces to raise the letters off the page. I really like to use those, too. In addition to the small pop-out shapes, I also cut out the foam that they came attached to.
The poems are just snip-it's of poems and sayings I've collected. They are written in a silver tipped pen. As I was doing this layout at a crop, my friend sitting next to me suggested a couple of brads, so I used brads for the first time on this page. I really love them now and have several styles and colors. I'm not brave enough to use rivets, snaps and eyelets yet, but when they go on sale at the local craft store, I may be tempted to try.
This is one of my favorite pages I've made so far. Again, baby scrap book ideas are some of the most enjoyable scrapbook ideas. I love black and white and really want to try and make an entire album some day. It's so easy to just change your digital color photos to black and white with photo software and your pc.
