Scrapbooking Ideas for Snow Theme
Our first real snow in Tennessee. It was COLD. Not a ton of snow, but enough that Gillian wanted to be out in the powdery white stuff many times that day. So I decide to do a snow themed scrapbooking sample layout.
I found a great pack of scrapbook paper in Target's scrapbooking section. They have wonderful colors. It's called Marcella by Kay, I think. I bought a pack of 8X8 paper instead of 12x12 because I find I don't generally use a patterned paper for my background very often-it feels to busy sometimes, so I generally use it as mounting paper or accent paper. There are 144 papers in the pack, half are bright colors, the other half are subtle pastel colors.
I was trying to use a bit of the same scrap book patterns and colors that were in Hannah's had and scarf. Blue seemed a good color since it was in Gillian's scarf, too. I cut strips of paper that complimented the blue background paper and placed the photos around the page. I used little stickers (they actually are made to stick to brad heads, but I didn't want to use a bunch of brads, so I just used them as stickers to spell out the girls names)
The snowman is a die cut from Deluxecuts. I painted over the scarf and hat (they were red and didn't match) A double color sided paper was used for the journal box. The title is stamped with Making Memories foam stamps.
