Scrapbooking Ideas for Winter Themes

THE COLD WINTER DAY

Another scrapbook page of the first snow day of 2004. The first page is located here. The wind was blowing and it was so cold. We had already been outside twice and Gillian wanted to go out again. I didnt want to go out again, but she went out anyway. I watched her from the kitchen.

The background scrapbook paper and the two complimentary papers were perfect for this photo. Chris thought the bigger photo looked washed out and too bright. I thought it looked artistic. Before getting them printed, I changed them to black and white. I used light blue cardstock to mount the photos. For the bigger photo, I tore the edges and dragged them thru black ink. I used corner photo mounts to attach them to the paper and also to hold the transparacy overlay. Torn vellum highlights some important words that became the title of the page. I ran these strips thru the XYRON machine (Awesome) so they are adhered without anyone being able to see it thru the vellum. I didn't have enough room for journalling, so I made an envelope with some of the background paper and used a spiral clip to close it. The white circle embellishments are metals from the Archetecture line (on clearance at the local scrapbooking store).
